Located close to St. Mary's, near Kimberley, this park is home to numerous lakes and tarns as well as some rugged cliffs. The park is over 9000 ha and provides hikers with some challenging off-the-beaten path style hiking.
Most of the Top of the World Provincial Park plateau is at an elevation of over 2, 200 metres. Big game and various bird species are found here, and there are four separate campground located here. Numerous hiking trails take visitors to the parks attractions, and angling with flies and lures is permitted.
Originally developed by Cominco to showcase the benefits of a fertilizer, these beautiful gardens located five minutes drive from downtown Kimberley produce a colorful spectacle all summer long, and consist of over 45,000 blooms.
The Kimberley Nature Park is an intricate network of meandering trails and scenic parklands. The Nature Park includes the Kimberley Nordic Trails, Kimberley Lions & Rotary Nature Park and Lois Creek & Summer park. Hiking the park in its entirety takes about four hours and offers numerous encounters with friendly wildlife and rare birds.
